FRYBREAD CONTEST RESULTS

The Final Six that day were the resulting first-place winners from the frybread competition rounds held during fair week at Hazel Yazza;

the Final Six CFC chefs were:
Jamie Johnson, of Navajo, New Mexico(Round 1 champ);
Milford Maloney, of Window Rock (Round 2 champ);
Vanessa Ortiz, of Farmington, New Mex. (Round 3 champ);
Danita Ryan, of Flagstaff, Ariz. (Round 4 champ);
Maxine Blackgoat, [background unknown] (Round 5 champ); and
Emerson Notah, of Chandler, Ariz.(Round 6 champ).
These Final Six returned on Sunday to see who would be the best of the best in the 2011 CFC. As for the results of the Sunday Final Six: Danita Ryan took first place with her recipe; Maxine Blackgoat followed; and Emerson Notah came in at third.

The Navajo Nation Fair has become a world-renowned event that showcases Navajo Agriculture, Fine Arts and Crafts, with the promotion and preservation of the Navajo heritage by providing cultural entertainment.
