The annual Navajo Nation Fair Golf Classic held at Coyote del Malpais Golf Course in Grants, New Mexico on Friday, September 11^th, 2009 was a success in spite of some early morning rain showers and a late shotgun start. Sevral players withdrew before the tournament got underway because of the weather, but at least 55 players stayed to garner for a bragging right for the next year. At the end of the day, the team of Albert Hale & Marcus Tully matched with the team of Jack Whitehorse Jr. & Alfonzo Nephew turned in a total combine score of 140 points to win the tournament. The format for this tournament was a twosome scramble with another blind twosome. First time we used this format and it turned out to be satisfactory. Each twosome had their own scores and in the end, they each combined their score for a final tally.
