EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN'S RODEO - 9/10/09
The Navajo Nation Fair is pleased to present the 5th Annual Exceptional Children's Rodeo on Sept. 10 to recognize and honor our nation's most exceptional children. Children with disabilities will be given the opportunity to cowboy up with various rodeo activities at their very own special event.
Children with disabilities from kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome to participate in the annual rodeo, which takes place on Kid's Day at the Dean C. Jackson Arena during the Navajo Nation Fair in Window Rock, Arizona.
The Exceptional Children's Rodeo, now in its fifth year, honors and celebrates the Navajo Nation's special children - those who are living with disabilities.
The rodeo continues to represent the Navajo Nation's commitment to recognize and honor Diné with disabilities.
Volunteers
The Navajo Nation Exceptional Children’s Rodeo provides a wonderful opportunity to help bring joy into the lives of special needs children. Every year more and more people volunteer their time and talents to make a special day for the Navajo Nation’s exceptional children.
The rodeo is in need of volunteers to guide children through the stations, man the stations, register children and set up the stations. The rodeo begins at 9 a.m. and runs to around 1 p.m. Volunteers begin preparing early in the morning around 7 a.m.
Volunteer registration forms are available above.
